R&D division’s main activities range from the design and development of chlor-alkali and hydrochloric acid electrolyzers to the development of electrodes for electrochemical, electrowinning and water treatment processes.
R&D division’s strategy is to develop “Oxygen Depolarized Cathodes” based technologies for innovative electrochemical processes It also provides global technical assistance to the companies of the group as support in exploiting present and future technologies.
The Division coordinates R&D activities carried on by the group in Milano and in Chardon (USA) as well as all the patent filing and patent licensing related activities. Furthermore, the R&D Division’s aim is to propose, through "feasibility studies", new trends for the future of innovative products, the development of new patents and products that address the needs of future generations.
De Nora R&D Division is responsible for the activities of R&D within the De Nora, from which it is fully owned, and it is structured in these following main departments:
