SORB 33® adsorption arsenic removal solution

Our SORB33® solutions can provide you with a cost effective media and system solution to meet your arsenic removal needs. 

The SORB33® media, a robust ferric oxide arsenic removal media, was specifically designed with a high capacity for both arsenic (III) and arsenic (V), providing long operating cycles and low operating costs. The media also adsorbs antimony, cadmium, chromate, lead, molybdenum, selenium and vanadium. Life expectancy is dependent on site specific water quality and operating levels with change-out typically needed between nine and 36 months. Performance guarantees on media performance are available.

The exhausted arsenic removal media is non-hazardous and can be sent to a landfill, passing US Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedures (TCLP).

The SORB 33® adsorption arsenic removal system reduces arsenic contamination across a range of water treatment application sizes. The SORB 33 arsenic removal systems have been commercially proven to effectively and economically meet arsenic removal standards globally. The SORB 33 arsenic removal system is simple-to-operate and requires minimal labour, it consists of one or more pressurized vessels constructed of steel.

Omni-SORB™ granular filter media, SORB 07™ nitrate removal system and SORB 09™ Fluoride removal system

Omni-SORB

The Omni-SORB™ filter system is designed for iron and manganese removal applications and for combined arsenic/iron/manganese removal where iron levels are high enough to affect arsenic removal. Systems use the Omni-SORB granular filter media, specifically designed to provide removal of soluble, reduced iron and manganese from well waters.

 

SORB 09™

The SORB 09™ fluoride removal system is a fixedbed adsorption process for the removal of fluoride onto solid activated alumina. Treatment is conducted with a downward flow through two adsorber vessels in parallel configuration. The process is regenerative, using a weak caustic soda solution.

 

SORB 07™

The SORB 07™ nitrate removal system to treat nitrate contamination in ground water supplies. The SORB 07 nitrate removal system treats a wide range of water qualities at capacities ranging from 100 to 3,000 gpm. The SORB 07 system features a smaller footprint and enhanced operation as compared to conventional ion exchange systems.

The SORB 07™ nitrate removal system is an ion exchange process based on the DOWEX™ UPCORE™ technology. The UPCORE packed bed downflow service and counterflow regeneration process ensures consistent water quality.
