Born in Taranto on 20 September 1959, he graduated with honors in Economics and Business from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Author of numerous scientific publications, since 1984 he has carried out teaching, research and study activities in the field of Business Economics at the Faculties of Economics of the Universities “LUISS-Guido Carli” and “La Sapienza” in Rome. Currently, he is a tenured professor of the Business Economics group at the Faculty of Economics of the Luiss-Guido Carli University and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the OIC - Italian Accounting Body. He is President of the Board of Auditors of Assonime, the Association of Italian joint-stock companies. He is registered in the Register of Chartered Accountants for the district of the Court of Rome since April 1986 and in the Register of Technical Consultants of the judge of the Court of Rome since November 1988. He is registered in the Register of Legal Auditors since 1995. He provides consultancy in economic and financial matters on behalf of leading Italian and foreign public and private entities and has repeatedly served as a member of the Supervisory Committee of banks placed in extraordinary administration and in compulsory administrative liquidation by appointment of the Governor of the Bank of Italy, as well as Member and President of the Supervisory Body of listed and unlisted companies.
