De Nora awarded first place among the ‘Best HR Teams’ with the inclusive performance assessment project

The Italian multinational claims first place in the ‘New Ways of Working’ category at HRC Community’s Best HR Team Awards

Milan, September 17, 2025 – Industrie De Nora S.p.A. (“De Nora”), Italian multinational listed on Euronext Milan, specialised in the electrochemical industry and leader in sustainable technologies and in the emerging green hydrogen industry, has been awarded first place in the “New Ways of Working” category at the Best HR Team Awards, promoted by HRC Community. The recognition celebrates the Inclusive Performance Assessment (“Inclusive PA”) project, an innovative evaluation system that highlights collaboration among colleagues and inclusive leadership as strategic levers for growth.

Breaking away from the traditional top-down approach, where only managers evaluate their team members, Inclusive PA introduces a 360-degree feedback process with a people-centric approach: colleagues contribute to each other’s performance reviews, and direct reports provide feedback on their managers. This model fosters a climate of active listening, mutual support, and teamwork, in full alignment with the company’s purpose: Empower Collaboration & Champion Resilience.

At De Nora, performance evaluation and the positioning of salaries against market benchmarks are the two elements that drive the salary review. Integrating 360-degree feedback into this system means strengthening not only the recognition of individual and collective performance, but also ensuring equity—understood as the enhancement of diversity—within compensation dynamics. Collaboration and inclusion thus become factors that contribute in a balanced way to professional and economic growth.

Initially launched as a pilot project in Italy, Inclusive PA received enthusiastic feedback across the company, starting with the CEO and leadership team, who were its first advocates and sponsors. The pilot’s success confirmed how deeply the initiative resonated within De Nora, paving the way for its global rollout in the coming years.

“This recognition confirms the central role of people in our strategy,” commented Graziano Marcuccio, Chief Officer People Organization Social Communication & Happiness. “Everyone talks about it, but few succeed in putting these principles into practice. With Inclusive PA we have made a new evaluation paradigm concrete—one that rewards trust, mutual care, and authentic collaboration, elements that are indispensable to successfully face the challenges of today’s world of work. The critical success factor was the ability to critically rethink and revise a well-established process, in full alignment with our Purpose.

In addition to winning the New Ways of Working category, De Nora was also selected among the top ten finalists in the Leadership category with the InCLUDe project, a global training program on inclusive leadership dedicated to all De Nora managers and directors in Italy and worldwide. This further demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to building a healthy, fair, and inclusive workplace.
