Michelangelo Mantero graduated in 1993 with a degree in monetary economics from the L. Bocconi University in Milan. From 1993 to 1995 he worked as a financial analyst at the New York office of Merrill Lynch. Starting in 1995 he served as financial controller, first at Edison and then at Asea Brown Boveri. He was an associate at Merrill Lynch from 1998 to 2002, when he became executive director of Vestar Capital Partners, where he gained significant expertise in extraordinary transactions, in particular acquisitions. In 2011 he engaged in independent consulting in the mergers and acquisitions area. In 2012 he served as independent director at Farmol S.p.A., a cosmetics company, and from 2013 to 2015 he was a board member of Amo Investments S.à r.l. Currently, in addition to being a non-executive member of the Company’s Board of Directors since 2012, he is also a founding partner and sole director of GenCap Advisory, which provides private equity consulting services for family offices and private investors, and also serves as director of Ninja 1 S.r.l., a company created to purchase Sacop S.r.l., whose business is passive fire protection systems, and of Sacop S.r.l.
